UNM basketball recruit Aaron Gordon, younger brother of Drew Gordon, was on the radio Tuesday night on KKOB and he told Scott Stiegler that New Mexico is still in his top 5 schools he is considering. Along with UNM, Gordon is considering Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Kentucky and Kansas. Gordon said he will likely wait until April of next year to decide where he’s going to college.
Gordon got some bad news this week. He says he had a pain in his foot and went to the doctor to have it evaluated. Gordon was told he has a slight fracture in his toe. He is wearing a walking boot and will undergo an MRI on Wednesday to determine if he needs surgery.
“It’s awful,” said Gordon about having to miss part of the AAU basketball season. “It’s going to be hard to be on the sideline.”
Gordon said he’s looking for a college team with a high-offensive tempo, he wants to run. Gordon was named the Cal-High Player of the Year in California as a junior.
